UCC Campus Minister
Linda was raised in Fillmore, a small town just 45 minutes north of Malibu. She attended Pepperdine where she received her B.S. in Organizational Communication and her M.S. in Ministry. Linda has loved the Lord all of her life and has been a campus minister at Pepperdine since 1998.
Linda has two wonderful and energetic boys, Justin and Eric (not to mention a dog, some cats and innumerable ‘critters’). Linda’s favorite things in all of life are coffee, playing and wrestling with her boys, rainy days, and seeing God transform the lives of students at Pepperdine. Linda is an amazing minister and a living example of the love, affection and grace of God.
UCC Youth & Campus Minister
Dusty is a transplant to Malibu via a small farm town in Indiana. A nomad during his college years, Dusty graduated from Pepperdine (his fourth university) with a B.A. in Religion in 2010. This extended journey through his undergraduate studies offered him the opportunity to have a variety of ministry experiences including youth and campus ministry internships, founding a nonprofit organization, a stint as a missionary in Kenya where he and his wife Cecily were married, and opportunities to see the transformative power of the gospel around the world.
His interests in ministry have an intergenerational focus, specifically geared towards a Titus 2 approach of older Christians mentoring younger Christians. He is currently finishing his M.A. in Religion here at Pepperdine and will soon be launching his M.Div studies. Dusty has a passion for fitness and can often be found lifting heavy things at CrossFit Malibu, on a trail hike with his wife in the hills behind Pepperdine, or tossing stones with Pepperdine students at the Pepperdine CrossFit classes he teaches through Campus Recreation.
